How is a Decal different from a sticker?

Decals and Stickers seem the same but they are very different. Stickers are adhered, and not easily transferable, made for more permanent placement. Decals are often made of a vinyl and die-cut. Basic stickers are often made of plastic and have a background, either transparent or colour.
